Time to get very sticky – making marmalade

Time to get very sticky! Me, table, camera all needed a good wipe down after a Sunday afternoon making marmalade.

Lots of scrubbing, boiling, shredding, squeezing, setting and bottling… to produce the most fabulous bitter sweet zingy home made Seville orange marmalade. Nothing more than Seville oranges, a few lemons, sugar and water – no additives or preservatives.

Recipe from my very battered copy of Delia Smith’s Complete Coookery Course – probably my first cookery book – and now something of a bible in this house for timeless, classic recipes.
